He can tap his own stomach

News reports datelined April 10, 2011 from Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, India, indicate that Sathya Sai Baba has now developed the symptoms of jaundice, as diagnosed by Dr. D. Nageshwar Reddy, a gastroenterologist of repute from Hyderabad.

*Baba's condition is critical.
*His liver and intestine is inflated.
*Liver protectants and antioxidants are being given.
*Organs are responding well to the treatment.

*Baba is conscious.
*He is responding well to instructions.

*Condition stable.
*Blood chemistry, blood pressure and heart rate are stable.

Now what

Here is a story of Baba resurrecting a Foreign Secretary of Sri Lanka, who had bad kidneys abandoned by the modern system of medicine, with a suggestion to go for kidney transplants. His wife and near and dear were also said to be not ready to donate a kidney.

This Foreign Secretary was said to be sitting in the audience when a bhajan session was in progress awaiting Baba's grace. The Foreign Secretary had a swollen stomach and was wreathing with pain.

The compassionate merciful Baba was said to have sent a chair for the suffering Foreign Secretary to sit on. Baba was said to have called him in and tapped on both the sides of his stomach. The Foreign Secretary was said to have had a motion then and felt completely free. He was said to have gone to the hospital next morning and was told by doctors that an operation was no longer necessary. The kidneys were said to have become first class. They were said to be working much better than ever before.

As per the narrative , Swami said : "I simply tapped. That's all."
The devotees added : That is the Divine tap! That is Divine tapping!

Observations
Sathya Sai Baba should now do the divine tapping on his own abdomen, instead of bothering the physicians and surgeons. He should enter the minds of his supporters and convince them that there was no need of any medical intervention.

Now, that Sathya Sai has come to consciousness, the job of medical doctors should end.

I share much of your skepticism. But please consider the following: We do not beat on the person who is down with a medical emergency. Particularly a grand old man with international celebrity. I am glad he and the people around him have some sense left that the Baba is taking medical help which he difinitely needs now. Also, I make the following analogy: A well known cardiac specialist might have saved a lot of patients. But if he gets a heart condition, he is not expected to operate on himself.

I am talking about common courtesy.
