Did Baba die at an auspicious moment?

Report : Sathya Sai Baba died at 7.40 a.m. on the 24th April 2011.

BLOGGER'S VIEWS
The astrological world is agog that Baba passed away choosing an auspicious moment and day i.e. 'saptami' (seventh day of the lunar ascendence) and 'purvashadha or uttarashad`ha' (lunar coincidence with the star 'altair' in the constellation 'sagetta'). One astrological clown even said that Baba's death on a Sunday, saptami, purvashadha/uttarashadha, morning time, are all associated with the "Sun God".

I feel tempted to think that Sathya Sai Baba might not have died at 7.40 a.m. The way the Government of Andhra Pradesh, the Police, the doctors organised the whole thing of declaration of Baba's death, we can get an impression that they decided and fixed the time on the basis of convenience.

What convenience? Time needed to mobilise police forces from other Centres. Time needed to ready the airport for the visits of the Prersident, Prime Minister, Governor and other V.I.P.s. Time spent on embalming and performing cosmetic plastic surgeries on the dead body. Numerous other chores.

I do not blame them for their planned declaration. They have the problems of logistics and crowd management.

What convenience? Can even be the astrological convenience of the Trust Members. Doctors and Government are pliable in deciding the date and time. The bureaucrats, doctors and the political rulers too have astrological beliefs. Nobody would relish Baba passing away at an inauspicious moment (e.g. the star moola (the tail end star of the constellation 'antares') on an inauspicious day (e.g. the 'ashtami day' --the eight day of the lunar month or the 'chaviti day' --the fourth day of te lunar month.)

The bureaucrats and doctors may not, for astrological satisfaction, hesitate to change the time and date of death.

NASA'S PICTURE OF ALTAIR WITH THEIR COMMENT

PHOTO and COMMENT kind courtesy NASA and their scientists.
"Measuring the shape of this star, Altair, was as difficult as standing in Los Angeles, looking at a hen's egg in New York, and trying to prove that it's oval-shaped and not circular," said Dr. Charles Beichman, chief scientist for astronomy and physics at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena, Calif.

The astrological world should realise that they are over-acting with excitement and inflammation. This they are doing for their own business reasons.

The astrological world will not mind to invent some astrological greatness or Baba's greatness, even if his death takes place on a day other than saptami-uttarashadha-Sunday combination.

Numerology
Numerologists have not yet come out with their inventions/discoveries about the auspiciousness of 24, 4 (April), 2011, 7, and 40. Wait!

Universal truth
Nothing auspicious or inauspicious about a person's time of birth or death. It is a natural phenomenon. It is outside the baby's or dying person's control.

Exceptions: Caesarean deliveries and surgeries. Suicides. Judicial Executions.
